Details at Eleven is a demo recording from
the band Warhorse. Although the band was only around for six
months disbanding in late 1989, we managed to record this eight song
demo of original music which has now been made available on CD.
Warhorse was born in the summer of 1989. We got
together and just started playing whatever covers we at least half assed
knew, and also immediately began composing original material. We rehearsed
as often as possible, usually between 3-4 nights a week. By September we
had enough material to play some shows... about 2 sets of covers,
including Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Thin Lizzy, Alice Cooper,
Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Iron Maiden, Metallica, The Who, and a strong
set of original songs which were recorded for the Details at Eleven
demo.
The band went on to
perform a handful of shows in the Detroit area, including Slammers
Saloon, the Token Lounge, and the Ritz. We had worked hard and
accomplished a lot in the short time we were together, but artistic
differences had begun to pull the band apart. It had been a lot of fun
and we all learned a lot, but it was time to move on. Warhorse ended in
December 1989.
